Preschool Focus Wall
This focus wall is designed specifically for preschool! Since in prek we focus more on letter recognition, number recognition, shapes, colors, and sight words, that’s what this bulletin board pack is all about. Everything you need to make this focus wall is in this pack!

I liked the idea of the focus walls I was seeing on Pinterest and TpT, but they weren’t quite what I needed for my own class. My students aren’t yet reading, so to post a weekly. objective or topic wasn’t going to be practical. This is my alternative!

We use it during calendar time and in the first few weeks of school, I’ve already noticed how much of an effect it is having on my students. For example, during the beginning of the school year, we’ve been spending more time on routines, behaviors, colors, numbers, and shapes than a heavy focus on letters and phonics. But my students are picking up the letter names and sounds just from reviewing this board on a daily basis! This has a perfect solution for my students that don’t sit still for long.

Each week I post a new set of cards and hang the old ones on another bulletin board for a quick daily review.

1. The bulletin board I used is 17.25″ x 23.25″. This download includes the original size formatted to fit this size board.
2. Each letter, number, color, shape, and label are also available to print as a full page. Simply change the scale on the print settings pop-up to scale down if a full page is too large!

**Both the American and Australian spelling of Color/Colour and Gray/Grey are included in this file.

Calendar Numbers – Calendar Cards with Patterns

This calendar pack includes monthly headers, days of the week cards, and date cards. Each month features thematic clip art on the date cards that are both fun and practical.

The clip art and border colors repeat in patterns of AB, ABC, AAB, or ABB. The cards are sized to fit into a calendar pocket chart, but could also be used with velcro or magnets. Each card has a yellow border. Some date cards have an alternating border color to match the clip art.

The patterns in this pack make it perfect for young students like preschool and kindergarten! Students who don’t yet fully understand the concept of dates and time can still engage during calendar time and learn to recognize patterns. The daily practice will have them repeating the patterns themselves in no time!

Classroom Schedule Cards

These classroom schedule cards are the perfect visual tool for keeping your day on track and teaching your routine! You can use these cards in a pocket chart or on a bulletin board. You can even create a center where children place the cards on a magnetic board to test their knowledge of routines and order!

I use these cards on a bulletin board in my preschool. I introduce our schedule at the beginning of the year. Students refer to the schedule as needed, and we also use it to meet our learning standard about sequence of events.

The combination of text and clip art help students learn these sight words, as well! The colorful text adds a level of fun to this chart, too.
