“Counting with Dinosaurs” Reader
This is a template for a half-page book. Page 1 is the cover and has a place for the student’s name. The consecutive pages include 2 numbers each (cut in half to make the book). Each half-page features one number and the corresponding amount of dinosaur pictures. The pictures are black and white for students to color. At the bottom of the page is the sentence “I see (#) dinosaurs.”
Small Sorting Cards
These small cards feature dinosaur pals and a number 1-12. Cut apart these sheets and add to a math center for students to practice sorting and practice recognizing numbers. Use the flash cards to label baskets for the students to place the sorting cards into.
Worksheets
5 worksheets are included in this pack. They ask students to:
• Count a group and write the number
• Count a group and draw counters in a ten frame to represent the number
• Count two groups and determine which has more
• Cut and paste to place the numbers 1-10 in order
• Number 1-12 BINGO! (Use the small number cards or flash cards to draw numbers)
Coloring Pages
These coloring pages each feature one number 1-10 and the corresponding amount of dinosaur pictures for coloring.
Dinosaur Tracks Tracing Pages
Each of these printables shows a large number 1-10 and the corresponding amount of dinosaur images (color). Inside the number are dinosaur footprints and lines leading around the number. There are a few different ways to use these pages! Some students enjoy using dinosaur toys to trace the footpath and write the number. Alternatively, students can also trace these with markers after they have been laminated.
Clip Cards
These cards show dinosaur pictures and have three numbers across the bottom of the card. Student can count the pictures and use a clothespin to mark the correct number on the bottom of the card. Great for centers!
