I have found rounding to be one of those math skills that just needs some extra practice for my third graders. So, I created a few worksheets for my fast finishers and students who specifically were struggling with rounding. These worksheets did just the trick!

Rounding to the Nearest 10 and 100
My students can usually round to the nearest ten by looking to see if the digit in the ones place is 5 or greater. However, they struggle knowing which digit to look at when we get into the 100s.
So, I wanted to make sure to include both on one worksheet so they can get some clarity on rounding to the 100. A lot of times, they’ll still round to the nearest 10 and I’ll ask them to go back and try again.
Ideas for Using these Rounding Worksheets
There are three worksheets and answer keys included in this download (I didn’t need any more than that, and figured most of you wouldn’t either!)
I used these as an option for fast finishers. A few students I asked specifically to complete this page, as I saw they needed the extra practice.
You could also laminate these sheets or use dry erase pockets (everything is more fun dry erase!) and give students the key to check their own work.
